Government/Military online registration is for individuals, who are either employed by a government/law enforcement agency or who are serving in the military, to be able to park a non-commercial vehicle in the Township.

When registering, all of the following documentation is required:

     A.  Your valid driver's license, and

     B.  Your valid vehicle registration, and

     C.  Government/Military ID or any official document specifying deployment (copy of deployment order, proof                              of deployment, etc). 

Note: Residents registering for a deployed family member will be required to submit their license with their North Bergen street address, a copy of the deployment orders or other proof of deployment (Additional information may be requested during the approval process).

Fee:  $10.00 per vehicle; Valid thirty (30) days from the date of the Approval Confirmation.
                 Six (6) months maximum purchase.

Family Caregiver online registration is for nonresident family members of North Bergen residents who require daily care or assistance to be able to park a non-commerical vehicle in the Township.

When registering, all of the following documentation is required:

     A.  Your valid driver's license, and

     B.  Valid vehicle registration, and

     C.  North Bergen resident's current utility bill (gas, electric, internet, cable, telephone, utilities) or current bank or                 credit card statement, and

     D.  Doctor's note explaining family caregiving necessity.

Fee:  $30.00 per vehicle; Valid six (6) months from the date of the Approval Confirmation.

Caregiver online registration is for non-residents who provide daily assistance or childcare services to North Bergen residents, to be able to park a non-commercial vehicle in the Township. This permit is not for family members or anyone affiliated with any home health aide services. 

When registering, all of the following documentation is required:

     A.  Your valid driver's license, and

     B.  Valid vehicle registration, and 

     C.  North Bergen resident's current utility bill (gas, electric, internet, cable, telephone, utilities) or current bank or              credit card statement, and

     D.  Doctor's note explaining family caregiving necessity for resident's care or 

     E.  Letter from resident explaining the need for childcare.

Fee:  $10.00 per vehicle; Valid monthly (30) days from the date of the Approval Confirmation.                                                                Six (6) months maximum per purchase.  

Non-Resident Property Caretaker online registration is for non-resident property caretaker who may be an heir, estate executor/executrix, estate administrator/administratrix or a court appointee to care for the property to be able to park a non-commercial vehicle in the Township while visiting the property to perform required maintenance and necessary repairs. 

When registering, all of the following documentation is required:

     A.  Your valid driver's license, and

     B.  Your valid vehicle registration, and 

     C.  Proof of Right to Access Property (Estate/Surrogate documentation, Letters Testamentary, a death certificate                is acceptable until Surrogate documents are obtained, or Court documents appointing Guardian/Receiver of                  property), and 

     D.  Proof of need to be at property (Building Department permit, Contractor estimate, letter from applicant                            indicating scope of project).   

Fee:  $20.00 per vehicle; Valid sixty (60) days from the date of the Approval Confirmation.                                                                        Four (4) months maximum. Longer term projects will need you to contact the Parking Authority.

Non-Resident Property Owner online registration is for non-resident property owners to be able to park a non-commercial vehicle in the Township while visiting their property to perform required maintenance and necessary repairs.

When registering, all of the following documentation is required:

     A.  Your valid driver's license, and

     B.  Your valid vehicle registration, and

     C.  Proof of property ownership (Deed, HUD-1 statement or Tax Bill), and

     D.  Reason to be at property (Building Department permit, Contractor estimate, letter from applicant indicating                  scope of project). 

Fee:  $10.00 per vehicle; Valid monthly (30) days from the date of the Approval Confirmation.                                                                Six (6) months maximum per purchase. Longer term projects will need Parking Authority approval.
